Patricia Riggs Flathouse, Ed.D.
Pat is from Austin, Texas and written several

Pat was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle. She attended the University of Texas in Austin where she earned a degree in elementary education and did a year’s graduate work in deaf education. She later earned a degree in Religious Studies and her doctorate in educational psychology with a focus on wellness and stress management.
Pat's professional background includes a career of teaching
and counseling. She is a wife and the mother of four sons. She enjoys hobbies
such as quilting, stained glass, wood carving, china painting, and writing.
Pat is the author of the book, Your Life, Your Story. This is a book
designed to help readers write stories about themselves and their experiences.
Pat is a genealogist and has just finished her second book, A Priceless
Legacy, designed to help readers write the stories of their family history.
In addition to facilitating classes in writing, Pat also leads workshops on
stress management and wellness.
